One of the benefits of redemption is that Christ is our Burden Bearer — and what you know about Jesus determines what you receive from Him. Many Christians relate to God only as their Savior and stop there, without realizing He is also the One who carries what they were never meant to carry alone. The work of Jesus goes far beyond rescuing us from hell; it reaches into the daily weight of living.
By nature, man was not designed to bear the burdens of this world (Psalm 103:14–15). Life is full of burdens the devil delights in loading onto us — burdens of fear, of care, of things far beyond our strength. Carrying them alone was never the plan for a child of God.
That is why wise people consciously and deliberately cast their burdens on Jesus, rather than carrying them alone. It is a decision, not just a feeling — a deliberate, repeated act of putting the weight down at His feet.
Jesus cares for you. Whatever you are carrying today, He is not only able to save you — He is able to bear it.
