You cannot serve a God you do not know. As children of God, serving Him is our calling — not an optional extra for the especially devoted, but the normal shape of a life that has met Him.
Serving God has to do with our devotion to Him and our availability to Him. It must come out of love, not obligation, and it must be done with the right heart — because a service that will be rewarded by God is one done with the right heart, not merely the right hands.
Serve God faithfully, sincerely, and wholeheartedly. Our service attracts God's attention, and one of the ways we position ourselves to attract His blessings is simply by serving Him (Exodus 23:23–31).
