Storms are a real part of human life — something every one of us will encounter on the journey. They do not respect status, and they can happen to anyone, at any time.
Not every storm has the same source. A storm can be a tool of the devil, set on destroying something in your life. It can also be a tool in God's own hand — to correct the disobedient, or to test and strengthen the faith of a believer. Knowing which storm you are in shapes how you pray through it.
But whatever the source, one key overcomes them all: allowing God to be in the boat of your life. The disciples' storm on the Sea of Galilee was only ever a crisis because, for a moment, they forgot who was in the boat with them (Mark 4:35–41).
