"Let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods…" — Daniel 3:16, 18

These men of God showed their faith and trust in Him in a situation so difficult it threatened death. Through the love of God, the pressures of the world could not overcome them. They stood steadfast for the truth even in the jaws of death. We do well to learn from their example — both in faith, and in their refusal to sacrifice their conscience.

Like them, we should resist losing our integrity, and hold on to the Lord, the author and finisher of our faith. He will not leave us nor forsake us. So we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), praising and honoring God by trusting and obeying Him always. Godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6).

Let us set our minds on God's kingdom. We are told to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all our needs will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). God takes absolute care of us when we obey Him, and we will not miss His promises. The things of this world are temporary, but what we do to please God is everlasting.

May you remain strong and faithful in the Lord, do His will, and live with Him forever. Amen!
