"…who gives us richly all things to enjoy." — 1 Timothy 6:17
Our Lord is ever giving, without withdrawing His hand. In Him is a vessel of grace that never runs dry. He is the sun that is ever shining, the rock that is ever sending out streams of life. The river of His bounty is ever flowing, and the well-spring of His love is constantly overflowing. As the Lord Jesus Christ lives forever, so His grace can never fail.
Daily we pluck His fruit, and daily His branches bend down to our hands with a great supply of mercy. No one returns from His door unblessed. He is the door, and whoever enters through Him will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture (John 10:9). Who has ever left His door unblessed? Who has ever risen from His table unsatisfied?
His mercies are new every morning and fresh every evening. Who can know the number of the Lord's benefits, or recount the list of His bounties? Who can count the good He bestows on His people, or tell of His mercy toward them? Let our souls extol Him who daily loads us with benefits and crowns us with loving kindness.
