Love All!

1 John 4:8 — he who does not love does not know God. On loving even our enemies, letting others see Christ in us, and the love that first loved us (Galatians 2:20).

"He who does not love does not know God…" — 1 John 4:8

The distinguishing mark of a true Christian is love — love for God, and love for people. We are called to love even our enemies, so that we may be true children of our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:44-45). The power that is in you through Jesus Christ is greater than that of the enemy; you may struggle for a while, but be assured that you will overcome by the power of the Lord.

We must remember that Christ loved us so fully that He gave Himself to be crucified, to set us free from eternal damnation — and we are complete in Him (Colossians 2:10). Jesus has opened the door of heaven for us to live with Him forever. We love Christ because He first loved us and gave Himself for us (Galatians 2:20).

We must let people see the love of Christ in us, and receive it through us. And we show our love to God by obeying Him and serving Him faithfully; then we are seen as true believers, children of the Most High God. Our love for Christ will move us to do more for Him and to encourage others, drawing them closer to Him.

As children of God, we are guided by the Holy Spirit, who gives us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to do all things. May the Lord strengthen you to serve Him faithfully and draw others to Him. Amen!
