"If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God…" — John 7:17
Read: John 7:1-17. Prejudice means pre-judging on the basis of preconceived notions, without bothering to find out the real truth — making up one's mind about a person, an issue, or a belief system without getting the relevant facts. Preconceptions and prejudices make it hard to hear what others are saying, and harder still to judge fairly. Prejudice can make a person narrow-minded and unkind.
Prejudice makes some people reject Jesus and His teachings for no good reason. Without any real knowledge of Jesus or the Bible, they jump to conclusions based on others' mistaken opinions, and end up confused — holding many different views, and not always saying what they truly think (John 7:12-13). The people of Jesus' day had all kinds of excuses for their prejudice against Him.
Today, the enemy still hands people excuses not to follow Jesus, and even some believers wrestle with doubts, as some of Christ's own disciples did after His resurrection. So ask yourself: as a Christian, how much do you really know about Jesus (John 8:31-32)? Once your heart seeks God with humility, sincerity, and passion, your mind opens to the truth — for as Jesus said, "If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God."
