Rejoice In The Lord!

Psalm 126:3 — the Lord has done great things for us. On speaking of His goodness rather than our griefs, and giving louder thanks the deeper the trouble He has brought us through.

"The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad." — Psalm 126:3

All believers should be glad for the great things the Lord has done, is doing, and will do — and we should be thankful. Yet many dwell more on what they have gone through in life than on what God has done for them. We should be more willing to share the impressions of our Christian life than to rehearse its conflicts, afflictions, and sad adversities.

Believers whose souls are spiritually healthy come to others joyously, speaking not of self but of the honor of the Heavenly Father. He has brought us out of a horrible pit and the miry clay, set our feet upon a rock, established our steps, and put a new song in our mouths (Psalm 40:2-3). Let us give praise and adoration to our God — He has done great things for us, and we should be glad.

It is true that we endure trials, but it is just as true that we are delivered out of them. The deeper our troubles, the louder should be our thanks to God, who has led us through and will lead us through still. Whatever the vicissitudes and difficulties you are facing, they will come to an end. The Lord has done great things for you that no one can snatch away.

May God's purpose and plan for you be completely fulfilled. Amen!
