"…the people who know their God shall be strong…" — Daniel 11:32

To know God is the highest and best of all knowledge. This spiritual knowledge is the source of a believer's strength, and it strengthens faith. Believers are often described in Scripture as those enlightened and taught by the Lord — those who have the anointing of the Holy Spirit, who leads them into all truth for the increase and strengthening of their faith. This is true for every believer.

The Word of God gives us knowledge that strengthens love as well as faith. It opens the door that leads us to our Savior; it paints the portrait of Jesus Christ, and the more we know Him and draw closer to Him, the more we love Him. Knowledge also strengthens hope, and it gives us reasons for patience and for the love of Christ.

The Lord will never leave His children nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Faith and knowledge supply us reasons for patience — we grow patient when we know and appreciate the love of Jesus and the good He releases into our lives. For God's blessings to continue in us, we must grow in both the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

May you be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Amen!
