"…His ways are everlasting." — Habakkuk 3:6

God can do all things, for He is the Maker of all things — and what He has done once, He can do again. The ways of the people of this world are changeable, but God's ways are everlasting. From everlasting to everlasting, He is God, the Lord who works all things according to the counsel of His will (Ephesians 1:11).

Human action is often the hasty result of passion or fear, but nothing can take the Almighty by surprise, or happen otherwise than He has foreseen. His ways are perfect, and in them His settled attributes are clearly seen. Unless the Everlasting One could change, His ways — which are Himself in action — must remain forever the same; and without doubt, they are forever the same.

The Lord God is eternally just, gracious, faithful, wise, loving, and kind. With Him there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:17). His ways are the embodiment of irresistible might; so if God is for us — and He is — no one can stand against us. Some may try, but they cannot succeed. Let us hold steadfastly to the Lord, confident and obedient, and He will take good care of us and perfect all that concerns us.

May the Lord God take absolute care of you always. Amen!
